The crossing between Port Angeles and Victoria takes approximately 90 minutes aboard the MV Coho.
Can I bring my car?
Yes. The ferry accommodates both vehicles and walk-on passengers. Bringing your vehicle makes it easy to explore more of Vancouver Island beyond downtown Victoria.
Is downtown Victoria walkable from the ferry terminal?
Yes. The ferry arrives directly in Inner Harbour, placing many attractions, restaurants, shops, and hotels within easy walking distance.
Do I need a passport?

Is there parking in Port Angeles if I walk on the ferry?
Yes. While there is no parking directly at the terminal, several privately operated parking lots are located within one or two blocks of the ferry dock in Port Angeles. Daily and overnight parking typically ranges from about $12–$15 per day, making it convenient for both day trips and overnight visits.
When should I arrive before departure?
Walk-on passengers and cyclists should plan to arrive at the terminal about 30 minutes before departure. Drive-on passengers should 1 hour prior to departure in Port Angeles, and 1.5 hours prior to departure in Victoria.
Can I travel without a reservation?
Reservations are recommended for vehicles to guarantee space on a specific sailing, but a portion of each departure is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Walk-on passengers do not need reservations.
