In response to early 1900s flooding concerns, Port Angeles organized a remarkable plan to raise the city’s downtown streets. This ambitious engineering project led to the creation of a network of underground tunnels and storefronts, many of which still exist today.
This 2.5 hour guided tour delves into the city’s history, exploring hidden basements, tunnels, an original movie theater, and a concealed brothel above a family shoe store. The experience includes short flights of stairs and several stops for storytelling, offering insights into the community’s past living conditions.

Sequim Lavender Festival is a delightful opportunity to immerse yourself in the beauty of bountiful fields of lavender. The festival takes place every July, and offers live music, local food vendors, and more lavender products than you could imagine.
Nearly all of the farms have their own gift shops with products that are created using their own lavender. With an expansive selection of products ranging from lavender lemonade to home cleaning products, there is something for everyone! Plus, explore the expansive street fair which offers a variety of food vendors and local artisans.
